Library Magnums & Cheese

There’s something extra fun about opening a magnum, especially when it’s been tucked away in the library for a few years.

Join us Saturday, November 14 for a special vertical tasting of MAWBY Mille, featuring library magnums from 2017, 2018 and 2019 paired with cheeses selected by our friends at The Cheese Lady.

Mille is one of the few single-vintage wines we make at MAWBY. Each year, our winemaking team selects some of the best fruit from that harvest to create the wine, so the blend of grape varieties can shift from vintage to vintage. Tasting several years side by side offers a rare look at how each growing season, blend and time in the bottle shape the finished wine.

We’ll begin with a welcome pour of our newest vintage, Mille 2020, before opening library magnums of Mille 2017, 2018 and 2019. MAWBY winemaker Bill will guide guests through the wines and pairings, while Kim from The Cheese Lady will share more about each cheese selection and why it works with the wine.
