Shipping wine is an intricate process—here’s what you need to know before placing an order.

Shipping Locations & Rates


We ship wine to most U.S. states and the District of Columbia. At this time, we do not ship to:Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Utah.

We use flat shipping rates that depend on your location. See the chart below for pricing. If you have questions about the shipping rates, please email orders@mawby.wine.

Rates apply to 750mL and 375mL bottles only. Orders containing cans or magnums may vary.
Wine orders containing merchandise may incur additional charges. Merchandise only orders ship for $10.

Delivery Requirements & Information


We ship via UPS Ground, with most orders dispatched Monday through Wednesday. (Orders being delivered in-state are also shipped on Thursdays.)

Delivery time varies by shipping zone. Shipping may be delayed during weather conditions that could affect the quality of your wine. If a delay occurs, a MAWBY team member will contact you via email.

An adult signature (21 and over) is required at the time of delivery. You cannot pre-sign for the package and carriers will not leave packages containing alcohol without receiving a signature. If it is an option, we recommend sending your wine to a business.

We cannot ship wine to PO boxes or APR/FPO.

UPS will attempt delivery three times before returning the package to MAWBY. Any costs to reroute or reship a package is the customer’s responsibility.

Promotional or club rate shipping does not apply to reshipments.

If your wine is returned, we’ll reach out via email to arrange reshipment, pickup, or return. If we don’t hear from you within 30 days, or if you choose to return the order, you’ll be refunded the cost of the wine, minus a non-refundable $50 restocking fee and any shipping charges.

Temperature & Risk During Transit


Wine is very temperature sensitive. Please consider the weather between MAWBY and your shipping destination before placing your order. Extreme heat, cold, or other harsh conditions can damage wine—freezing, cork-problems, leakage, “cooked” wine, etc. If severe temperatures are occurring, we recommend delaying your order until milder weather prevails.

Once an order leaves the winery, MAWBY is not responsible for damaged product due to adverse weather conditions. All risk of loss and damage is assumed by the customer.

If your wine arrives broken or is lost, email orders@mawby.wine to initiate a claim with UPS. If possible, please take photos of any damage. Once we have confirmation of the successful claim from UPS, MAWBY will replace and reship the damaged product.
