Ourphilanthropic efforts

At MAWBY, giving back has always been a core value. From supporting the League of Women Voters and contributing to cancer research at Munson Hospital to working with the Leelanau Conservancy protect portions of the county, our commitment to our community runs deep. Helping out in our own backyard is important to us.

In 2019, we launched our “Green Giving'' program, where one dollar from every bottle of Green sold was donated to local nonprofits. We have raised almost $30,000. These contributions have made a tangible impact, such as:

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Our donation sponsored one "Little" for a year.

LIFT of Suttons Bay

Funds were used to buy hotspots for children social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Food Rescue of Northwest Michigan

Donations helped cover gas costs for their trucks, which collect more than 8,000 pounds of food daily from local grocery stores, bakeries, and farms.

Today, our charitable giving has evolved into a two-pronged approach called MAWBY Gives. We raise funds through sales in our tasting room, and MAWBY staff actively volunteer to support the organizations that make this area smarter, stronger, healthier, cleaner, and better place to live, play and work.

How can you help? Drink wine! One dollar from every MAWBY Gives flight sold in the tasting room goes toward our giving projects. The flight changes with the seasons, so there is always a new and delicious way to support these causes.

Thank you for your continued support of MAWBY and your dedication to the betterment of our community. Our focus is on supporting the environment, the arts and underserved communities.

We look forward to seeing you and raising a glass to a better tomorrow.
